INTRODUCTION TO PRIVATE LAND MOBILE RADIO SERVICE LICENSING (1Hr)
Upon completion, someone taking this class should walk away with a general understanding of the licensing process, as well as how to read a license, and what responsibilities a license-holder has.
CREATING AND MANAGING YOUR CORES ACCOUNT WITH THE FCC (30 Minutes)
Upon completion, someone taking this class should understand what an FRN is and what a CORES account is, as well as how to create a CORES account, how to create and associate FRNs with an account, and how to manage CORES account access.
HOW TO ACCESS AND MANAGE YOUR FRN ACCOUNT WITH THE FCC (30 Minutes)
Upon completion, someone taking this class should understand how to reset the password on a legacy FRN account, how to access and update your FRN account information, and how to access and navigate within the FRN account. Additionally, this class will cover what you can and cannot do to your licenses directly from your account, as well as how to obtain a printed copy of your license.
HOW TO VIEW YOUR LICENSE IN THE ULS (Universal Licensing System) (30 Minutes)
HOW TO UPDATE ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION ON YOUR LICENSE (30 Minutes)
This class walks through step-by-step on how to file an update to the administrative information on a license. Administrative information includes address, phone, and email for both the licensee and contact.
HOW TO FILE A CONSTRUCTION NOTICE (30 Minutes)
This class walks through step-by-step on how to file a construction notice on a license.
HOW TO RENEW A LICENSE (30 Minutes)
This class walks through step-by-step on how to file an application to renew a license and submit payment as required.
HOW TO CANCEL A LICENSE (30 Minutes)
This class walks through step-by-step on how to file an application to cancel a license.
UNDERSTANDING AND FILING ASSIGNMENTS AND TRANSFERS OF LICENSES (45 Minutes)
This class will cover the differences between assigning a license and transferring a license, and the procedures to follow for each.
MONITORING YOUR APPLICATIONS AND ADDRESSING PROBLEMS (1 Hour)
This class covers how to check your application status and what each status means. Common problem statuses such as “returned” and “dismissed” will be addressed, along with typical steps to resolving.
